Like an athlete bouncing back from injury, in Avondale Estates will reopen Sunday to serve hungry Super Bowl fans.
Business at Mobeta came crashing to a halt Oct. 13 when a woman rammed her Lexus sedan into the front door of the restaurant.
She told DeKalb County police she backed up in the parking lot and struck a post, then put the car into drive and accidentally accelerated into the front door.
Nobody was injured, but Mobeta owner Steve Lee and his wife, Insoon, had to shut down while the restaurant at at 2759 E. College Ave. was repaired.
Lee said Wednesday they survived with help from his family. Mobeta has been in business about 10 years.
Lee said the menu will be the the same but the inside will look better. The front and inside of the restaurant has been repainted and the parking lot repaved.
Mobeta will open at noon this Sunday. It's normally closed on Sunday but opens for the biggest football game of the year.
"Every Super Bowl customers come by," Lee said.
Normal hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays.
