Stone Mountain Walmart Breaks Ground Friday
The retailing giant will build the store on Memorial Drive near North Hairston Road.
is a long way off, but a new store is coming soon to a neighboring community.
Ground will be broken at 11 a.m. Friday, July 27, for a new Walmart at 5945 Memorial Drive, near the intersection of Memorial and North Hairston Road.
Walmart officials have said the 152,000-square-foot store, will create about 300 jobs.

The store will have a grocery, deli, fresh produce, pharmacy and garden center. It won't have a Tire and Lube Express.
Walmart has also in the Metro Atlanta area.
