Gluten-Free Coffee Shop Opens Saturday

Good Karma Coffee House in Avondale Estates will start serving the public at 7 a.m.

A coffee shop at 7 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at 31 N. Avondale Plaza.

Good Karma Coffee will operate in the space that Jack & Jill consignment shop used to occupy.

Owner Sharonda Frazier said the shop will sell gluten-free foods including waffles, muffins, donuts in several flavors, plus dry mix for products such as waffles.

Baked products will also be dairy, nut and soy free.

Good Karma Coffee will operate 7 a.m. to about 10 a.m.  Monday through Friday and 7-11 a.m. Saturdays. Frazier said she'll adjust the closing time depending on the amount of business.

The shop will be the retail wing of Weat Free Breakfast Foods, which Frazier also owns.

I was guessing that it's a word play: We + eat = W eat Free

Thanks for all the great comments. The name of the bakery is Weat meaning "we eat" free and free of "wheat" which is a common name that cannot be trademarked, hence the creative spelling. We look forward to serving many people in the future!
