Women of Rock!!!

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring an In The Round Performance with Caroline Aiken, DeDe Vogt, and Michelle Malone!!!

CAROLINE AIKEN is a cornerstone of the Decatur folk music movement. Georgia Music Magazine once noted, "She has a soothing, fine wood-grain voice that purrs with a youthful innocence one minute and then growls like a wise bluesy singer the next." Caroline has influenced and assisted almost every local performing songwriter in the past 2 decades. She is currently touring in support of her latest release, "Are We There Yet, Mama?" Fans of Otis Taylor, The Indigo Girls, and Bonnie Raitt will enjoy her music.

Owner of Atlanta's Sound & Fury Recording Studios, DEDE VOGT has been producing top hits as a solo artist and as part of Atlanta's 1930's Western band, Cowboy Envy. Known for her talents on the bass and guitar, she shows the world how to harmoniously blend folk, country, and jazz into a sweet melody. An Eddie's Attic favorite, Michelle Malone, admires Dede's gift by stating, "She is the backbone of the acoustic scene. Dede is God and everybody knows it." The Indigo Girls certainly noticed it when Dede received a gold record for her work on 2 Indigo Girls songs. Since then, Dede Vogt has been traveling with her band, Cowboy Envy, who released their 3rd album, "Unhitched," in 2008. Fans of Riders in the Sky, Sons of the Pioneers, and The Andrew Sisters will enjoy DeDe Vogt's music.Β

Born in the Deep South, MICHELLE MALONE grew up listening to her mother sing in the church choir every Sunday. When it came time to craft her own sound, she took those religious roots, blended in enough folk, blues and acoustic rock to satisfy, and came up with a rootsy high-spirited sound that brings: acoustic, electric slide, and passionate vocals together. Over the course of her 20 year career, the Southerner has won numerous awards like "Best Female Vocalist" and "Best Acoustic Guitarist" by Creative Loafing, and her albums, "Sugar Foot" and "Debris," were both on the Grammy ballot for "Best Contemporary Blues" and "Best Americana Album." Her songs have appeared in "Dawson's Creek," "Felicity," and "Brooklyn South," and have been recorded by the Indigo Girls, Antigone Rising, and Vistoso Bosses. Fans of Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, and Lucinda Williams will enjoy Michelle's music!
