Matthew Kahler / Elliot Bronson

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring Matthew Kahler and Elliot Bronson!!!

Georgia native, MATTHEW KAHLER, left his small town roots in the late 80s and headed west to be a songwriter. The coffeehouses of Pasadena, CA were the lucky recipients of his talent, though they didn't quite realize the potential of the gift they had received. Kahler made his way back to Atlanta in 1991. It wasn't too long before he made a friend in another singer-songwriter, Shawn Mullins, who called Kahler, "Georgia's music at its best." The two shared a musical and personal camaraderie that led to a number of collaborations, both on stage and off. As a solo artist, Kahler released, "My Own Medicine," in 1996, all the while building a strong local following for his James Taylor-esque style. In 1995, Kahler and Mullins recorded their infamous dueling live show and issued the album, "Jeff's Last Dance Vol. 1 and Vol. 2" on Mullins' SMG Records. Kahler also co-wrote a couple of songs on Mullins' album, "Beneath The Velvet Sun," including the songs, "Everywhere I Go" and "Up All Night."

Best known as half of the duo, The Brilliant Inventions, ELIOT BRONSON has recently struck out on his own, with the his new album, "Blackbirds." The Washington Post called their music, "clever contemporary acoustic pop that invites comparison to Ben Folds Five and Fountains of Wayne - literate story-songs at once amusing and moving, with catchy melodic hooks." They won Eddie's Attic's Shootout (won by John Mayer and Jennifer Nettles), was voted "Best New Music Act" by Creative Loafing, and secured management with Russel Carter (Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins)! In 2009, the band released their first studio album, "Have You Changed." They were voted "Most Wanted" act to return as main stage performers in the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 2010. The band surprisingly ended their partnership last year. Suddenly a solo act, Eliot returned to folk-roots music and went to work on his solo album, "Blackbirds," an intensely personal, stripped down record that departs from much of TBI's lighter pop material and showcases Eliot's poetic voice, and finest writing to date.
