LARKIN POE are sisters Rebecca & Megan Lovell (formerly of the Lovell Sisters). They deliver an innovative fusion of newgrass, country, and folk, all with tight harmonies and outstanding musicianship. They have been classically trained, with sister, Rebecca, being the youngest contestant and first female to win the Merlefest International Mandolin Competition. The Lovell Sisters won NPR's National Teen Talent Competition in 2005 and have been featured on TBS' "Storyline." Their 2nd CD, "Time To Grow," was produced by acclaimed Nashville producer, Mark Bright (Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood). Larkin Poe recently released an EP comprised of nine original tracks, stretching many genre boundaries incorporating elements of folk, Americana, country, & pop. They have opened for Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls, and are here tonight in support of their series of EPs entitled, "Spring," "Summer," "Fall," and "Winter."
