JoyScout / Night Driving In Small Towns / Rebecca Pronsky

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring JoyScout, Nights Driving in Small Towns, and Rebecca Pronsky!!!

JOYSCOUT, an Atlanta collective of musicians focused around Emily Kate Boyd and Nicki Thrailkill, invent an eclectic identity through their exploration of roots rock and the song. With narrative sensibility of The Weepies, the compositional beauty of Tori Amos, and the spirit of rock found in songwriters like Elliot Smith and Tegan and Sara, JoyScout's first batch of songs are a lyrically dense treasure that will have you searching for the story behind every line.

NIGHT DRIVING IN SMALL TOWNS' musical content originates from Atlanta's songwriting duo, Andrea Rogers and Colby Wright. The two have written together for almost a decade, perfecting their craft to a weird science in the process. In 2008, the band was voted into the "Top 25 Bands" on Myspace by Rolling Stone. Fans of She & Him, The Sundays, and Weezer will enjoy their music. They are currently touring in support of their debut release, "Serial Killer."

REBECCA PRONSKY is one of New York City's finest performers and songwriters. NPR recently chose her song "Hard Times" for their Song of the Day program and said her voice is "commanding" and "conveys the wisdom of experience." All Music Guile calls her "an allusive, poetic lyricist" and Time Out NY says "her writing is literate, passionate, and wry." Pronsky has shared the stage with a variety of artists including Patty Larkin, Freedy Johnston, Josh Ritter, Loudon Wainwright III, Caroline Herring, The Everybodyfields, Shawn Colvin, and many more. She is here tonight celebrating the release of her new record "Viewfinder" which is topping hte charts and sending her off on tour across the US, UK and Europe.
