Jon Dee Graham / Sam Baker

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring Jon Dee Graham and Sam Baker!!!

Since playing guitar at 12 years old, JON DEE GRAHAM is now renowned guitarist and songwriter from Austin, Texas with a deep, eclectic musical history. He was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame three times, as a solo artist in 2000, again in 2008 as a member of The Skunks, and again in 2009 as a member of the roots-rock band, True Believers, which also included Alejandro Escovedo & his brother, Javier Escovedo, and opened for bands like The Clash and The Ramones. Throughout his career, he's also collaborated with Michelle Shocked, Patty Smith, and Calvin Russell. His musical catalog spans from soft introspective songs to gritty rock and roll. He was voted "Musician of the Year" at the Austin Music Awards during the 2006 South By Southwest Music Conference. Jon's music has been highlighted in the feature film, "Ladder 49," and the television series, "Veronica Mars." Fans of Texas Americana/rock, Lucinda Williams, and Jim Bianco will enjoy his music!

SAM BAKER is a country singer-songwriter out of small town in Texas. Despite suffering significant brain damage in the area where words are stored, Baker has managed to produce music with stories that could only be told by a man who knows the value of language. Here's a man who can't really sing, but mostly just speaks, who's deaf on one side, partially deaf on the other, and who can't use all of his fingers while playing guitar anymore. And yet, Sam Baker manages to make what has got to be one of the finest Americana albums in recent years. His early influences like Brownie McGhee and Johnny Cash have all shaped Sam into an incredible artist. Throughout his career, Sam has opened for singer-songwriter, Walt Wilkins. His latest album, "Pretty World," connects quirky with emotion. The Daily Page's Marc Eisen described the album as, "Moody and atmospheric, touched with moments of supine and tenderness." The resulting sound is moving and powerful!
