Edie Carey & Rose Cousins

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring Edie Carey and Rose Cousins!!!

EDIE CAREY is back in the house tonight! Edie started voice lessons at the age of nine and became involved in singing groups and musicals in high school. As a child, she appeared on Ed McMahon's Star Search. After college, she released her debut album, 1997's The Falling Places. Since 2000 and after the release of her second album, Call Me Home, Carey has been touring full-time as a performing songwriter. Performing Songwriter Magazine describes Edie's voice as being a "full, expressive instrument with the gentility of Suzanne Vega and the punch of Rickie Lee Jones, who more recently has been adding in a warm, rootsy mix reminiscent of country-tinged singers like Bonnie Raitt." The Boston-based songwriter has been touring internationally since '99, and her previous CD was a finalist for "Album of the Year" in the '03 Independent Music Awards. She is currently touring in support of her newest release, Bring the Sea, which features Shawn Mullins, Glen Phillips, Julie Wolf, and Sarah Sample. Fans of Melissa Ferrick & Meg Hutchinson will enjoy Edie's music!

ROSE COUSINS is a Canadian folk-pop singer-songwriter. Her debut full-length album, "If You Were for Me," garnered her a nomination for "Best Solo Artist" at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2006. She was also a winner in the 2007 Mountain Stage Newsong Contest, as well as winning "Best Folk Recording" from both the Nova Scotia Music Awards and the PEI Music Awards. In 2008, Rose was honored as the "Female Recording of the Year" at the East Coast Music Awards. Rose is currently touring in support of her latest release, The Send Off. Fans of David Myles and Meg Hutchinson will enjoy Rose's music!Β
