Don't Want to Cook On Thanksgiving? Here Are Options

You can purchase prepared meals at some shops and groceries, plus several restaurants will be open on Turkey Day.

Thanksgiving is dedicated to eating, but not everybody likes to cook. If you're one of those people, relief is in sight. In Decatur and Avondale Estates, you can purchase pre-cooked meals or go out to eat on Turkey Day

Sawicki's. They'll sell take-out meals. Check the online menu. Order a turkey (for $7.50 per pound cooked or $4.50 per pound uncooked) by calling 404-377-0992. A prepared dinner for six costs $195.

Ted's Montana Grill. Serving a three-course meal on Thanksgiving Day. Prices start at $25 for adults. Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Taco Mac. Open 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day with regular menu.

Courtyard Marriott. The Courtyard Bistro will be open 6:30-10 a.m. and 5-10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Sushi Avenue. This restaurant on the Decatur Square will open at 5:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

Publix. Closed Thanksgiving Day, but you can order meals in advance. A 10-12-pound turkey with some sides is $39.99.

Kroger. Open Thanksgiving Day. The store will prepare turkey and ham dinners with sides. Ask at the store deli or call 1-877-894-3707.
