Decatur Ophthalmologists Named Tops in Metro Atlanta

Two Decatur-based opthalmologists have been named Top Doctors in Atlanta by Castle Connolly, the healthcare research company that compiles Atlanta magazine’s annual Top Doctors list.

Drs. Michael S. Jacobson and Jay Stallman both practice at the Georgia Retina office on Winn Way in Decatur.

Jacobson also appeared in the Atlanta magazine list, published in the July issue.

Jacobson said of the honor, “The Top Doctor list is among the most highly regarded listings in our region, and I’m honored to be selected.”

Stallman said he’s in great company. “Castle Connolly’s Top Doctor list is very respected, and I’m grateful to be included,” he said.

Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a healthcare research company based in New York, compiles Atlanta magazine’s annual list of Top Doctors. Its physician-led team of researchers selects top doctors through a screening process that includes evaluation of education and professional experience. Doctors were nominated by both a nationwide survey administered by Castle Connolly and by licensed physicians in the metro area who submitted online votes.
