MAR's website says it also have a tequila tasting room.

Since the , people what business will move into that space across from the old Decatur Depot.

It looks like the new tenant will be MAR, a "coastal Mexican" restaurant, as first reported by Decatur Metro.

The MAR website says the restaurant will open in mid-October and will offer "wood-roasted fish, coastal tacos, tostados, ceviche, aguachile, sashimi, carpaccio, oysters, lobster and crab buckets, tequilas, mojitos, micheladas and margaritas."

Patch is seeking details and will pass them along.

Doc Al, we think alike. For some reason your comment wasn't showing when I made mine. Go figure.

Feast was a wonderful place, not too pricey, always great service and great food. It was my absolute favorite restaurant, and I was terribly sad when the owner's illness forced it to close. I'm glad to see a new tenant, but can't imagine the new restaurant living up to Feast.

I, too, always found Feast to be high on quality, value, and ambience. Nice folks; well-prepared and well-priced food (small plates especially) with several $20 per bottle wines (and not the cheap stuff I've been known to buy). Miss them!

Me. Bulldogger, I was the owner of Feast. I unfortunately had to close Feast due not only to economic reasons but also to reoccurent triple negative breast cancer, which I am still fighting. Although I'm sorry that u felt this way about Feast, itt was nice to read all of the positive comments from other patrons. I truly miss everyone & wish the new business owners great success in such a truly special place that I will treasure the memories forever.

Bulldogger, here we are again with some interesing comments on Patch. First, it was pretty well publicized that Feast closed because of Teri's health issues. (Wishing her the best!). As to your comments about overpriced eating options, try these establishments nearby: Felini's, Las Brasas, Dairy Queen, Subway, Raging Burrito, Pita Pit, American Deli, Mellow Mushroom....shall I go on? The City has been pretty explicit about trying to make Decatur a foodie destination, which brings a wide variety (and clearly price range) of options to my 'hood, something that I appreciate every week. Looking forward to trying MAR.
