The community is in the midst of a brutal heat wave, but Second Life Upscale Resale will be hosting what it hopes will be a cool winter wonderland on Saturday, July 16, as its Christmas in July event runs 11 am until 3 pm.
Second Life will be featuring adoptions of dogs and cats, as well as offering door prizes, a pet food drive to help families keep their pets, and a storewide sale.

- Pet Adoptions to showcase dogs and cats looking for new homes.
- A pet food drive to help struggling families keep their beloved pets by donating pet food, kitty litter and other items.
- Door prizes and giveaways from the facility's partners.
- Treats for humans and dogs.
- 40 percent off all regularly priced items and 20 percent off specialty items (some exclusions apply).
- Carolers will be singing from noon until 2:00 pm.
- And an ugly sweater challenge. Visitors are invited to wear an ugly Christmas sweater and get an additional 25 percent off one Christmas item.
