Home Invasion Robbery In Avondale Estates

Police said the men burst into a residence in the 100 block of Exeter Road and took the victim's cell phones and car keys before driving away in his auto.

Avondale Estates police are looking for two men, one armed with a pistol, who walked into a residence Wednesday night and stole a man and woman's cell phones before driving away in their car..

Nobody was reported injured in the home invasion robbery that occurred about 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Exeter Road, police said.

The two men walked into the house through the unlocked front storm door and demanded the married couple's wallets, said Detective Tom Gillis. One carried a small silver pistol.

Their wallets weren't handy, so the men demanded their cell phones and car keys.

"There were no threats made," Gillis said. "The whole thing happened in two minutes."

Nobody was injured. The men drove away in the victims' blue 2003 Honda Accord with Georgia tag No. BSM1803.

The suspects are described as black males around 20 years old. One was 6-feet with a slim build and wearing a blue bandana across his face. He wore a tank top, a dark T-shirt and jeans. The second suspect was unmasked, about 5-foot-6 and wearing a white tank top and gray pants. 

Gillis said the last home invasion robbery in Avondale Estates occurred seven or eight years ago.
