TV Show Filming Friday On Church Street, At Avondale Middle School

You can expect to see lights and cameras Friday on Church Street in Decatur and at Avondale Middle School.

Katie Able with the City of Decatur said a crew for the USA Network show "Necessary Roughness" has obtained permits to shoot at and .

They'll prepare early in the day, start shooting around noon and work well into the evening, she said.

Residents near Avondale Estates Middle School reported crews from the show were working at the school.

"Necessary Roughness" is about a Long Island therapist who takes a job counseling members of a professional football team.

A good number of movies and television shows have filmed in Decatur, most recently "A.C.O.D." That movie starring Amy Poeler and Jessica Alba for a week last month.
