S.T.E.A.M.Fest Coming This Weekend To Avondale's Academy Theatre

The festival will celebrate the Steampunk genre with music, art, theatre, food and a screening of Georges Méliès' 1902 masterpiece, "A Trip to the Moon."

If you haven't heard of Steampunk, here's a definition from Steampunk.com:

Steampunk has always been first and foremost a literary genre, or least a subgenre of science fiction and fantasy that includes social or technological aspects of the 19th century (the steam) usually with some deconstruction of, reimagining of, or rebellion against parts of it (the punk).

That should give you a rough idea about what will happen at S.T.E.A.M.Fest on Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 15, at the in Avondale Estates. S.T.E.A.M.Fest stands for Steampunk Theater, Entertainment, Arts and Music Festival.
