Musical! The Bard is Back

Get ready to laugh until your sides hurt as some of Decatur's most talented young singers, dancers and actors star in Renfroe Middle School's musical, Musical! The Bard is Back!  Come out and show your support of the 7th- and 8th-grade members of the Renfroe Middle Chorus as we present an exciting, fun evening of musical comedy.

The story: The students of Hilltop High are excited to be putting on a musical version of "Romeo and Juliet," but the school's chorus director, Miss Donahue, is horrified.  Twenty years ago, she starred in a disastrous performance of Hilltop's version of the "Scottish play," and she believes a curse still lingers on the school's stage.  Sure enough, everything that can go wrong does - from sets collapsing to broken legs, laryngitis and cowboy outfits instead of period costumes.  Add the stage mom from hell, a tech crew obsessed with duct tape and a hysterical playwright and you've got the makings of a merry madcap musical.
