Over 100 local and regional ceramic artists participate in Atlanta's largest "clay only" holiday show. MudFire Clayworks & Gallery, a nationally prominent center for clay located in Decatur, GA, hosts an exhibit and sale of locally-produced, finely-crafted functional and decorative ceramics made by emerging and established clay artists. Inventory is replenished daily as the show leads all they way up to the holidays.

As the recession continues to devastate the arts scene and drive artists away from the city, buying locally-made fine craft is not just a shopping solution, it is a statement in favor of a better way to be and an investment in the future of our community. The arts are a fundamental component of our humanity. Supporting the artists in our city, beautifying our lives, keeping jobs and money in our community instead of shipping it abroad... there simply couldn't be a better year to get behind the Buy-Handmade/Buy-Local movement in Atlanta.

Gifting handmade is gifting care and quality. Nothing store-bought can compare with the sentiment and craftsmanship of an object made by an artisan. And handmade does not mean more expensive. Most items in the MudFire holiday show are in the $20-$80 range. So this year, instead of mass produced packaged goods, give gifts that speak to the care and love with which the objects were made and selected.

See you there!!!
