Dayna Kurtz / Callaghan

Live show at Eddie's Attic featuring Dayna Kurtz and Callaghan!!!

DAYNA KURTZ is a singer-songwriter, whose music is described as a blend of jazz, folk and pop. She began performing her original compositions in public as a teenager, and subsequently spent the better part of a decade touring solo across the back roads of America. She has opened shows for the likes of Richie Havens, B.B. King, Olu Dara, Chris Whitley, and Kelly Joe Phelps. In 1997, Kurtz was nominated as "Female Songwriter of the Year" by the National Academy of Songwriters. Critic, James Reed, of the Boston Globe wrote in a review of her 2004 release, "Beautiful Yesterday," that "there's no logical reason why singer-songwriter Dayna Kurtz is not a full-blown star."

British folk-pop and Americana singer-songwriter, CALLAGHAN, began her musical beginnings at the age of four, being classically trained on the the flute. Her first song, "In Your Arms Again," written when she was just 14, won her a place on a BBC TV show for up-and-coming singer-songwriters, hosted by well-known Irish singer, Ronan Keating. Her influences from artists such as Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, and James Taylor are evident, but it is Callaghan's powerful, yet soothing vocals that take center stage in her songs. Attic favorite, Shawn Mullins, called her "one of the greatest unsigned talents," he has ever heard. Her debut album, Life in Full Colour," is set to be released in May!
