This free festival brings together more than 300 authors to Decatur over the Labor Day weekend to give readings, talks and participate in panel discussions. Additionally, there are teen and children's activities, a treasure hunt, a book market and street fair, cooking and author's demonstrations, special performances, a writer's conference, an experimental writer's asylum, an emerging writer's pavilion and food, wine and beer.
