Eddie's Attic to Host Texaco Country Showdown Talent Competition
The early June competition will attract local talent to compete for the state, regional and top national prize.
Eddie’s Attic will host the Texaco Country Showdown local talent competition with 101.5 KICKS-FM in early June.
The competition, famous for opening doors for Tim McGraw and Miley Cyrus, is dubbed America’s longest-running and largest talent search. Eddie's Attic has launched careers for of Sugarland, Shawn Mullins and others.
The competition’s three rounds will be held on June 2, 9 and 16, at 8 p.m.

Interested participants can find more details on the radio station’s website (www.kicks1015.com). Eddie’s Attic will also open its doors to supporters for a small cover charge.
The competition at Eddie’s Attic will be one of 500 live, family-friendly shows across the nation.

Local winners will advance to state and regional showdowns until the field is narrowed to five national finalists, who will compete for the $100,000 grand prize in the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
