Atlanta Film Fest Documentary Features Agnes Scott Tuba Player

Student's tuba playing and autism will be part of short documentary.

Frequent patrons of the shops and eateries in Little Five Points will recognize Larkin Taylor-Parker, the young woman often seen playing her tuba.

What few passersby know about the Agnes Scott College history major is that she is autistic.

Taylor-Parker's real-life story, "The Girl with the Tuba," is among a series of shorts in a documentary called "This is Atlanta."

The documentary is among a selction of cinematic pieces that will be featured in the 2013 Atlanta Film Festival.

According to the festival's Facebook page, the block of short films called "This is Atlanta" will be screened at 5 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Plaza Theatre. A full schedule of films and ticket information is available here.
