Where To Buy Your Christmas Tree

First Christian Church, Winnona Park Elementary and Boy Scout Troop 107 are selling Christmas trees this season.

Many people like to buy their Christmas trees shortly after Thanksgiving. Here are some local places to buy trees.

First Christian Church of Decatur. Sales begin on the church lawn at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, after the truck is unloaded. Sale hours at the church at 601 W. Ponce de Leon Ave. will be 3-8:30 p.m. Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Saturdays and 1-8:30 p.m. Sundays. Prices: $46.75 to $106.25. You can save 15 percent by ordering before Nov. 24. The church will deliver to your home for free within a five-mile radius of the church.

Boy Scout Troop 107. The troop sells Christmas trees and holiday greenery through Dec. 16 on the weekends at Oakhurst Presbyterian Church at 118 Second Ave., Decatur. The hours are 6-9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday.

Across from Krystal. Boy Scout Troop 103 is selling trees are located at 2230 Lawrenceville Highway, across from Krystal, 5 p.m.-9 p.m Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Winnona Park Elementary School. The PTA will sell trees in the school parking lot at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Trees will be delivered that morning from a North Carolina farm. Prices range from $65-$85. Credit cards will be accepted. Coffee and donuts will be sold, too. The school is at 510 Avery St., Decatur.
