Weekend Planner: Non-Holiday Edition

Stuff to do: Meet the author of "Holes," listen to Shawn Colvin sing, visit these farmers markets and hear singing sisters at Eddie's Attic.

If you've already had your fill of mistletoe and carols, here are some non-holiday events for the weekend in Decatur and Avondale Estates. For a full list of happenings, go to the Events Calendar.

1. On The Same Page author event. Louis Sachar, the author of Holes, will read and sign books at 7 p.m. Friday at Presser Hall at Agnes Scott as part of the On The Same Page citywide reading project. Doors open at 6 p.m. Free.

2. Shawn Colvin at Agnes Scott. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Presser Hall at Agnes Scott College. The show is  part of the Eddie & Agnes Concert Series, a partnership between Eddie’s Attic and Agnes Scott. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.

3. Farm Mobile stop. This rolling farmers market will visit Intown Ace Hardware at 4 p.m. Friday. Free.

4. Decatur Farmers Market. Find fresh vegetables and other goodies from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 498 N McDonough St., near Decatur High School. Free.

5. Larkin Poe. The band led by sisters Rebecca & Megan Lovell performs at 7 p.m. at Eddie's Attic. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door.
