Sheep Used to Weed Morningside Park Clean Up Decatur Cemetery

A herd spent last week eating invasive species in Decatur Cemetery.

Sheep used to eat invasive species in Morningside Nature Preserve worked their magic in Decatur last week.

A herd of 75 sheep, shepherded, were used to eliminate kudzu, ivy and other plants from Decatur Cemetery, according to The Decatur Minute.

The sheep in this program are protected by a human shepherd and livestock guardian dogs, and the sites are surrounded by solar powered, low-voltage electrified fencing to keep the sheep safe and on-task while they are working.
