First Baptist Church Decatur Summer Camps are wonderful. I'm a huge fan of their school and after school too. They offer a variety of camps with weekly themes and they're affordable, too. Best part? Kids are EXHAUSTED by the end of the day. Meg Clark runs the camps but she always has time to connect with kids and parents. Kris Webb, the Science Department Chair from Renfroe Middle School in the City of Decatur, is offering a science STEM camp. It will be located at The Sudbury School of Atlanta, which is in Avondale Pattillo United Methodist Church. Rising 2nd-5th graders and 6th-9th graders will be ecstatic over these hands-on science experiments. Some examples of activities are making slime, film canister rockets, electrical circuitry (big kids only), homemade ice cream, t-shirt chromotography, marble roller coasters, 50-foot solar balloon, rocket-propelled toy car, electromagnets and Diet Coke/Mentos fountains. Go to www.thescienceoffun.org for full details.
