The DeKalb NAACP BRANCH will sponsor its Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Twelfth Annual Parade and Rally” on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.
We are soliciting and encouraging everyone to participate and/or attend our Annul Celebration of the Life and Legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The parade will commence in the Parking Lot of Green Pastures Christian Ministries Inc., located at 5455 Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur. It then will turn right onto Snapfinger Road/MLK Parkway and will end at MLK Jr. High School at 3991 Snapfinger Road/MLK Parkway.
All parade participants must arrive for line-up on or before 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014.
The parade will start at 12:30 p.m.
The RALLY will begin immediately after the Parade at approximately 2:30 p.m. in MLK Jr. High School’s Auditorium.
Our talented marching bands will captivate you:
- Martin L. King, Jr. High
- Stone Mountain High
- Towers High
- Ronald E. McNair High
However, All Marching Bands are more than welcome to participate.
Ms. Copelin-Wood is chairwoman of the DeKalb NAACP MLK Parade and Rally Planning Committee.
