Yard Sale For Family of Woman Who Died From Infection

A neighborhood yard sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Medlock Park area to help pay the medical bills of the late Hannah Rinehart.

People are working to help the family of Hannah Rinehart, 32, a Decatur area woman who died about a month ago of a rare bacterial infection.

According to the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association's website, a neighborhood yard sale will be held Oct. 6 at 11 homes around Medlock Park. Here's what the website said.

Please mark your calendars for our annual neighborhood sale. The homes listed above (see attached map) have joined together to host a fundraiser. Our neighbor Hannah Rinehart passed away recently and this activity will help collect donations so that her husband Mark can meet medical costs related to Hannah's extended stay in the ICU.

Operation Appreciation is a 501(c)(3) charity that supports the members and families of the Georgia Guard, of which Mark is a member.

Hannah Rinehart, 32, died Sept. 5. She was a patient care technician in DeKalb County. She and her husband lived in the Decatur area.

She contracted a bacterial infection the last weekend of June which resulted in blood poisoning. Complications led to the amputations of both hands and feet.
