Here's a list of events scheduled at the Decatur Library.

Here are January events at the Decatur public library. The information was provided by the DeKalb County Library System.

Tuesday, January 8

Claire Bidwell Smith. In her astonishingly accomplished debut book, The Rules of Inheritance, Claire Bidwell Smith writes ”a powerful and searingly honest memoir” about a young woman who loses her family but finds herself in the process. It is about her own life--a profoundly personal account of her parents’ death when she was 14 and her remarkable coming-of-age story. Written with suspense and style, her book examines the tragedy she faced and also how she coped with grief and came to better understand her own role. The author is an experienced counselor who specializes in grief and who is beginning a series of workshops around that subject.  7:15—9:00 p.m. Decatur Library, 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur 30030. 404.370.3070.
