Grab & Go: Keep Your Kids Mono-Polized This Week

Plan your week and weekend ahead.

When/Where: Wednesday, June 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the , 215 Sycamore St., in Decatur.

Why Go: If your tween or teen enjoys playing strategy board games, come to this free monthly event on the third Wednesday of June, July and August. Games will be played. The event is open to the first 20 participants. No registration required.

When/Where: Thursday, June 16, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at , 720 Commerce Dr, Decatur, Ga.

Why Go: The City of Decatur Active Living Department offers these free Supermarket Tours led by a trained nutritionist who discusses label reading, healthy meal planning and how to avoid marketing traps. While touring, you'll be able to get your nutrition questions answered  so you can eat healthy. Tours are being held in June and July each Thursday evening at 7 p.m. and Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. Tours are limited to six participants  so send in your RSVP to Cheryl Burnette 678-553-6541 or cheryl.burnette@decaturga.com.

When/Where: Friday, June 17 at 5 p.m. to midnight on the Square at Ponce de Leon Avenue at East Court Square.

Why Go: What could be better? 60 tons of sand, live music, good eats, dancing and fun. There's even a special music stage for kids.

Pricing: Kids free, though adults will be $6 per person.

When/Where: Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., a, 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur.

Why Go: Kids will hear a special story and make a craft while celebrating fathers.

Pricing: Free.

When/Where: Saturday, June 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at at 134 New St., Decatur.

Why Go: Not only will your child get to eat Pops from King of Pops, they'll also get to make a picture frame for their fathers during the event. Contact: sayhi@beanworkplaycafe.com.

Pricing: Two hours of free work space time (while your child plays) if you watch Mommy Talk Show online for a special phrase about Dads and Bean. Then come to Bean for our Pops with Pop event, mention Mommy Talk Show and the catch phrase and receive two hours of free childcare at the cafe.
