When/Where: Thursdays (and Tuesdays) from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 2 p.m., at , 126 N. Avondale Rd., Avondale Estates.

Why Go: Classes encourage growth and development for tots ages 18 months to 36 months for the morning class, and 36 months to Pre-K for the afternoon class.

Pricing: $10 per class, though they have a card you can buy for discounts.


When/Where: Anytime Saturday after 10 a.m. aand Sunday after 8 a.m., but before 6 p.m., at 2619 North Decatur Rd., Decatur

Why go: Kids can practice their bowling skills, while parents show them the game.

Pricing: For one game, it's about $8, including shoe rental.


When/Where: Saturday, Feb. 19, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., 2719 E. College Ave., Decatur

Why go: Check out the site of the very first Waffle House, featuring memorabilia dating back to 1955.

Pricing: Free - no appointments necessary.


When/Where: Sunday, Feb. 20, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at , 435 Oakview Rd, Decatur.

Cut off date for registering is Thurs. Feb 17.

Pricing: $15 members, $20 non members.


When/Where: Mondays and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Decatur Public Library, 215 Sycamore St, Decatur.

Why Go: For ages 12 to 24 months, the program bolsters baby's language skills with short books, songs, nursery rhymes and more. Fingerplays also help your child's motor skills. 

Pricing: Free though sign up prior to the program in the children's department at the help desk.
