Books, DecaturDocs documentary, a guitarist and a cabaret -- there's something for everyone in Decatur this weekend!

Get out this weekend and see a caberet, go to a book signing, or listen to the Mozart-of-guitar, and more. There's lots to do.

Where/When: Decatur Public Library, Sycamore St., Decatur, Thursday, March 3, 7:15 p.m.

Why Go: Since this author’s appearance in January was cancelled due to the snow storm, come find out more about his new book, “Gravely Concerned: Southern Writers’ Graves.”

2. GO SEE AN OurSong CABARET: EVERDAY PEOPLE LIVING FABULOUSLY!

Where/When: , 121 New St., Decatur, on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, Appetizers start at 7 p.m., and show starts at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Ticket price gets you appetizers and a show worth seeing, starring The Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Chorus.

Where/When: Performing Arts Center, 310 McDonough St., Decatur at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Go see the latest in DecaturDocs' series and watch a brilliant film by one of the masters of the genre, Frederick Wiseman. The drama unfolds in Lord's Gym, where all walks of life meet, talk and train at the gym in Austin, Texas. After the show, Terri The Boss Moss from Decatur Boxing gym is the guest speaker.

Where/When: , 515 N. McDonough St, Decatur, on Sunday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: With a reputation of being an innovator with the acoustic guitar, Bensusan has been referred to as the “Mozart of Guitar,” and was recently featured in the February issue Guitar Player Magazine.

Pricing: $22 per general admission ticket or $110 for a table w/4 reserved seats.
