Rainbow Park Baptist Church is excited to announce their activities for their Annual “Holy Week” April 1st through April 6th.

Even prayer is faster and more convenient with Drive-Thru Service.  Rainbow Park Baptist Church plans to pray with 1,000 drive-up recipients during their “Drive-Thru Prayer” (a special event planned during “Holy Week”.)

Decatur, GA, (March 20, 2012):  The members of Rainbow Park Baptist Church will host “Drive-Thru Prayer” in the parking lot of the church on, Monday, April 2, 2012 during the church’s annual “Holy Week”.  Any person wanting to receive prayer will simply drive up to church lay leaders who will be waiting to discuss their prayer requests and praying with them.  Rainbow Park Baptist Church, often referred to as, “The Park” will have Prayer Team members available to pray with anyone between the hours of 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  Their goal is to pray with 1,000 or more individuals. Pastor Steven N. Dial, Sr., Senior Pastor of Rainbow Park Baptist Church stated, “God has a solution to all of our problems if we just trust Him. Jesus is truly the best thing that has ever happened to us.”  Rainbow Park Baptist Church’s activities for “Holy Week” will start on Sunday, April 1, 2012 and will end on April, 8, 2012, Easter Sunday.

The events for “Holy Week” will go as follows:  Sunday, April 1, 2012, Palm Sunday Evening Program (5:00 pm – 6:30 pm); Monday April 2, 2012, “Drive-Thru Prayer”  (5:00 pm – 6:30 pm); Tuesday, April 3, 2012, Online Holy Week Bible Study (8:00 pm – 8:45 pm at www.rainbowparkbaptist.org ); Wednesday, April 4, 2012, Passover Meal (6:00 pm) and Worship Service (7:00 pm); Thursday, April 5, 2012, Maundy Thursday Service (7:00 pm) – with guest speaker, Reverend, W. C. Blondin; Friday, April 6, 2012, Good Friday “Seven Last Words” Services (12:00 pm & 7:00 pm).

On Palm Sunday, Rainbow Park Baptist Church will kick-off their “Holy Week” with premiere performances by their Worship Arts Ministry.  These performances will include a feature play, a spiritual dance routine, and other various musical performances.  The Passover Meal is going to be a “Christian Feast” commemorating the Last Supper.  During the Maundy Thursday Service, the church will offer the option of participating in an authentic foot washing ceremony.  Seven sermonettes will be presented by various ministers during their Good Friday “Seven Last Words” Services.

Rainbow Park Baptist Church’s final “Holy Week” event will be on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, where service will start at 10:00 am.

All of these events will take place at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, located at 2941 Columbia Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30034.  Rainbow Park Baptist Church has Sunday School every Sunday morning starting at 9:00 am, Sunday Worship Service starting at 10:00 am, with a fellowship meal provided for all guests and visitors.
