DeKalb Symphony to Play Free Decatur Concert

Before the concert, dine out at Avondale Pizza Cafe to support the local orchestra.

The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra will play a free concert at Decatur First Baptist Church Tuesday.

The free concert featuring Adam Frey begins at 8 p.m. at the church, 308 Clairemont Ave. 

And if you're hungry before the concert, dine out at Avondale Pizza Cafe and a portion of proceeds goes to support the orchestra.

The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, which is housed in Georgia Perimeter College in Clarkston, was established in 1964. Boasting 85 players, a total of 76 are volunteers from the community. The orchestra plays up to 15 concerts annually, including its subscription series, children’s concert, picnic pops and other performances.
