Decatur Arts Festival Needs Volunteers

It's time to give back to the community. You can also sign up to help at the free concerts in May and the Beat the Street For Little Feet 5K.

When and what: May 24-26. You can set up and close down the Artists Market, be an artist's helper or help at the community art project, the kids art festival, the fine arts exhibition, the dance, the silent auction, the information tent and the check-in desk for artists and volunteers. Concerts on the Square

When and what: Midday Wednesdays and Saturday nights in May. There are free concerts on the Decatur Court Square during May at noon Wednesdays and 7 p.m. Saturdays. Volunteers are needed to set up and break down as well as answer questions from the public. Apply through the Decatur Business Association.

Beat the Street for Little Feet 5K

When and what: May 4, 7 a.m.-9 a.m. (race starts at 8 a.m.). Volunteer to be a course marshal. You will receive a race t-shirt featuring Pete the Cat.
