Backlash Against Popular Baby Names
Author compiles list of most-hated names for our little ones.
What do the names Hunter, Madison and Destiny have in common? They’re among the most popular baby names in the nation.
They have something else in common, too.
They’re also among the most-hated, if author Laura Wattenberg is to be believed. But Avondale Estates and Decaturites can rest easy. In Georgia, many of the most popular names did not make Wattenberg's list.

Wattenberg, who wrote, "The Baby Name Wizard: A Magical Method for Finding the Perfect Name for Your Baby," recently conducted a non-scientific survey to find the most-hated baby names.
The methodology? Wattenberg combed through hundreds of postings on various website message boards where people discussed baby names.

While many popular Georgia names (see chart below) don't make her "Most-hated" list, here's what she found:
