Update: Decatur Craft Beer Festival a Fast Sellout

The fun event takes place on the courthouse square on Oct. 19 and will feature more than 100 craft beers, live music and a whole lot more.

Update: Like last year, it didn’t take long on Monday for tickets to sell out for this year’s Decatur Craft Beer Festival.

One man at the festival’s Facebook page remarked that it took just seven minutes for all the tickets to be scooped up. Others said it didn’t take much longer. One Patch user posted at the site, “Really, this sold out in 20 minutes. Maybe make a few more tickets available.”

Well, there still are tickets available … on Craigslist. By late Monday afternoon, no less than six people had posted at the site offering to sell tickets for next month’s event for as much as $150 a ticket.

Did you get your tickets? Did you try but were frustrated not to get through the online system in time to make a purchase? Let us know!

Original story: Tickets for next month’s Decatur Craft Beer Festival went on sale Monday at noon.

Grab them while you can as the 4,000 tickets are expected to see quickly. In 2012, they were snapped up in a matter of hours.

Tickets are $40 and they will not be sold at the gates.
