Get Tickets Early for Tony Auction Event Benefitting The Museum School

On November 9, the "place to be" will be The Avondale Education Association's 5th Annual "A Night at the Museum" live and silent auction event, benefiting The Museum School of Avondale Estates (TMS).

Last year's event SOLD OUT EARLY, so this year's soiree has been moved to All Souls Fellowship at East Decatur Station. Promising to be another must-attend evening, "A Night at the Museum: Explorers Learn, Grow, Thrive!" promises to be a fun (and much-needed for me) date night out with the funds raised going to support the growing charter school, located at 923 Forest Blvd, Decatur.

Always a festive evening, the auction will deliver games, prizes, spirited bidding and the chance to go home with one of hundreds of cool items or one-of-a-kind experiences, including concert tickets, gift cards, celebrity memorabilia, vacation getaways, keepsake student artwork and much, much more! Oh, and a WINE WALL - on my hit list, for sure. :)

TMS is a public DeKalb County charter school that opened its doors in 2010. The museum-school concept is a proven model founded on research about how children learn best: through personal exploration and hands-on experience fostering exploration, discovery, and creativity. The community school has been a “dream come true” for families in the TMS attendance zone, with the students growing academically and socially each and every day.

Proceeds from the auction support the school’s various student and teacher enrichment programs. These enrichment programs are an essential part of the proven school model of project-based learning. However, support for these programs is not part of the state and county funds provided per student. These programs and partnerships have made TMS a leading charter school ranked in the top 6% of Georgia schools statewide.

A special word of thanks to all of this year's sponsors, particularly the 2013 Presenting Sponsor - 102 Group.
