Dream of a Mega Den? DIY Show Casting in Metro Atlanta Area

Before and after - what a difference!
Before and after - what a difference!

Ok, this news requires ACTION. If you are a family located in the Metro Atlanta area AND you have a living space in need of some incredible DIY attention from some “mega”-professionals, then these folks are looking for you!

DIY’s hot and hip show Mega Dens is now casting for families that live in the Atlanta area. In case you aren’t familiar with the show, it spotlights dynamic families, who are in desperate need of an update to their den, basement, attic or main-floor living space.

In each episode of Mega Dens, host and interior designer Anitra Mecadon creates an over-the-top, rec-room sanctuary for the family, while teaching show viewers the skills needed to renovate their own family space. These unbelievable room renovations feature incredible home theaters, innovative gaming areas, clever storage solutions, and more. Anitra's rock 'n' roll approach to design transforms these rooms beyond the homeowners' wildest dreams.

Avondale Estates resident Jennifer Joyner’s home was featured on an episode called "Toys in the Attic," which was filmed in 2011 as part of the show's second season. “Our family was thrilled with the end product, and we had a wonderful experience with Anitra, the Scialabba boys and the entire crew,” shares Jennifer. In fact, Jen was so impressed with the show's producers, Picture Window Productions, that she went to work for them and has recently signed on as the show’s casting producer. (Way to go, Jen!)

If you are interested in applying for the show, here’s what you need to know:

1.       Your desired space must have drywall, HVAC, plumbing, and electric already in place.

2.       You must be willing to appear on-camera and help in the DIY renovation experience.

3.       You can’t be picked if you don’t apply?! To be considered, apply at bit.ly/MegaDens. Or email: info@picturewindow.tv for additional information.

Filming for the upcoming season starts this summer. So, let’s spread the word about this incredible opportunity! Who doesn’t WANT (or let me rephrase that… who doesn’t NEED) a new “Mega Den?” :)
