Today's Blog: Decatur's Best-kept Secret ... Until Now

About two years ago, my husband lost it. Literally.

After waiting 30 minutes (no joke) in the drive-through pickup line of a local pharmacy -- only to be dismissed by the pharmacy representative, he declared, "No more." The next morning, he walked into McKinney's Apothecary where he said, "Hi. I'm in need of a pharmacy that values my family's business. I have three kids under the age of 5 years, and they are always sick. Ear infections. Sinus infections. You name it; we have it. We need a place that can help us out when we need them."

From that day forward my life changed ... and all for the better!

McKinney's Apothecary is an independent pharmacy in Downtown Decatur that has been servicing the community for over 50 years. They are friendly, courteous, and they know and welcome us BY NAME (again, no joke). My kids are offered lollipops when we visit in-person. AND the very best part is that they DELIVER! Yes, it is true! When I am at the doctor's office, my doctor emails my prescription to McKinney's. McKinney's then fills my order and delivers it to my front door (for a mere $3 delivery charge). As a mom to three kids, this service is worth its weight in GOLD to me. In fact, my children greet McKinney's delivery man with hugs upon his arrival. 

McKinneys has taken the stress out of getting prescriptions filled quickly for me and my family. I am so grateful to have them as part of our community and my life.
