Join sustainability, community garden and urban farm enthusiasts from around DeKalb's 6th District to celebrate with Commissioner Kathie Gannon, DeKalb's Green Commissioner, the success of DeKalb's growing community garden movement. We'll be mingling at Oakhurst Community Garden, enjoying a delightful summer evening with lots of garden goodies.

More About Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center
Established in 1997, The Oakhurst Community Garden of the Wylde Center offers a wide range of classes, programs and special events for individuals, families and youth on such topics as organic gardening, sustainable urban living, nutrition and health. Its popular youth program is one of the metro-area’s largest and offers year-round educational programs. The two on-site gardens serve as gathering spaces, wildlife habitats and demonstration gardens. To get involved, be sure to sign up for a class or become a volunteer or a member.
