This week we're asking MARTA riders outside the Decatur station: How do you feel about a possible MARTA rate increase? MARTA is considering a fare hike of 50 cents as soon as Oct. 2. That would mean a one way fare would be $2.50 under the proposal. Monthly passes would increase from $68 to $95.  MARTA plans to hold public hearings on May 16 at 7 p.m., in the South Fulton Service Center at 5600 Stonewall Tell Rd., in College Park; and the Fulton County Government Center at 141 Pryor St., in Atlanta. Nathan Deal's signature? Once signed, each of the state’s 157 counties can hold referendums to decide whether to allow sales.
