OSteel, a steel band based at Oberlin College in Ohio, performed March 29 at the Gazebo in the Decatur Court Square.
The band plays in the tradition of the great steel bands of Trinidad but also performs arrangements of calypso, salsa and jazz numbers.
The band was touring the South and stopped in to visit Decatur, the home of band member Cate Hughes, a 2009 Decatur High grad.
