Would You Like To Write An Op-Ed Piece on the Transportation Referendum?
Patch wants to know what you think about the upcoming vote on regional transportation funding.
There's a lot riding on the July 31 referendum on regional transportation funding but opinions on the referendum are sharply divided.
Critics say the spending priorities are wrong, and that the new tax wouldn't generate enough money. Even the Sierra Club is urging people to vote no.
Advocates say the new tax is the only way to stop traffic from strangling Atlanta. Decatur Mayor Bill Floyd and DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis are urging people to vote yes.
The decision rests in the hands of the voters. That's why Decatur Patch wants to know what you, the readers, think about the referendum.
Are you voting yes or no? Why? Are you encouraging people to vote one way or the other? Patch wants to hear what you have to say.
