Melrose on Ponce Going Out of Business

The gift and monogramming store's last day will be Saturday.

Melrose on Ponce, a gift and monogramming shop that's operated six years at 345 W. Ponce de Leon Ave. in Decatur, is closing its doors.

"The overhead is killing me here," owner Shirlyn Englisby said Thursday. "That's the way it is in retail sometimes."

The store next to Taqueria del Sol will hold a going-out-of-business sale 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's a cash-only event.
