Kudzu Antiques to Open 2nd Location
The Decatur business will add a store at the former Red Baron Auctions space in Sandy Springs.
Kudzu Antique Market in Decatur, a long-time favorite for shoppers hunting vintage furniture and collectibles, will open a second store in Sandy Springs in mid-October.
The 35,000 square foot space is in the former Red Baron Auctions on Roswell Road.
“People have been saying for years they wish we’d open a second location,” said George Lawes, who co-owns the Decatur store at 2928 E. Ponce de Leon Ave. with his wife Kate.
Lawes said he expects the location near the Perimeter to be a popular destination for antique shoppers north of Atlanta.
The new location is currently under renovation and will open in two phases.
Phase I will cover 25,000 square feet filled with antique, mid-century and industrial home décor and original art represented by individual dealers. Custom work, upholstery and design services will also be available.
Dealer applications for the Sandy Springs store are being accepted now. For more information visit www.kudzuantiques.com.

Are you an antique picker? If yes, this is good news.

I would like to note that the Decatur location did not move to Sandy Springs, but rather that a second location opened up in Sandy Springs. The tagline of your article confused and worried me when I saw it! I rely on the Decatur Kudzu for all of my present buying and personal decompressing-- but can't wait to check out the second store!

Jane R, sorry for the confusion. I changed the tagline.
