I was shocked to learn that last week. This information served me no good after the fact.

I also found out that Wil Wheaton was at Dragon*Con. Also after the fact. Did I get to see him? No.

Here I am being a busy mother, wearing my mom jeans, paying the mortgage and all the while I’m missing opportunities with my favorite teen heartthrobs.

Bieber is a common noun in our house. We were recently lost and stopped at a convenience store for directions. A young man exited, and my husband said, “Why don’t you ask The Bieber?” Skinny jeans, bangy hair cut, and oversized shoes.

I’m wondering about other parents. I know plenty of moms who have read Twilight, but Edward and Jacob are fictional. It’s okay to think one of them is cute, but Bieber is real. Liking him a bit creepy. Hating Bieber is a bit strong.

For my sisters it was Michael Jackson and Shaun Cassidy. For me, I’m still team Joey MacIntyre from New Kids on the Block. Hangin’ tough.
