Christmas at the Cop Shop
A wreath made of crime scene tape adorns the door to the Avondale Estates Police Department.
The Avondale Estates Police Department must not have a big budget for Christmas decorations.
There are no glowing lights or inflatables, only a wreath on the front door made out of something found in every law enforcement agency: crime scene tape.
An officer's artistic wife fashioned the wreath. If you were a suspect brought in for questioning, would this decoration warm your heart?

Although I do not live in Avondale Estates, I congratulate their police department for solving a house burglary and making an arrest based on fingerprints left at the crime. I have lived in DeKalb county only two years and my house has been robbed twice. Both times the DeKalb police declined to take fingerprints, even though they were evident, indicating quite clearly that our losses were of no real interest to them. Once they even scoffed at the suggestion and visibly wiped off the doorknob asking " what fingerprints?" Wish we could be annexed into Avondale Estates, where the police work for their salaries.
