Academy Theatre Looking For New Home

The theatre is having to move out of the Avondale Estates building at 119 Center St.

The Academy Theatre is moving by June 15 from the building in Avondale Estates where it has operated since 2005.

The building at 119 Center St. changed hands during the settlement of the bankruptcy case that tied up a lot of downtown Avondale Estates property over the past few years.

The new owner needs the building for a new use, theatre Artistic Director Robert Drake said.
