Kevin D. Kell brings 30+ years’ experience in Atlanta banking to new role

Private Bank of Decatur has named Kevin Kell Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager. He is responsible for bringing his customers a private banking approach across all functions of the bank, from both the Buckhead and Decatur locations.

“Kevin has long provided the level of service customers like ours want and deserve,” says Judy Turner, President of Private Bank of Decatur. “He also brings the added perspective of literally having come up through the ranks in banking, so he is all the better a fit for customers, as he understands their needs across all facets of this kind of banking partnership.”

Kell has more than 30 years’ experience in the Atlanta banking community, having managed portfolios of deposits, loans, trust relationships and investments totaling $100MM. He also has extensive credit experience with high-net-worth individuals, including professionals, executives and professional practices. Kell previously worked with Fidelity Bank, Synovus/Bank of North Georgia/Riverside Bank, Wells Fargo and National Bank of Georgia.

“I believe in fanatical attention to detail as it relates to client service and client experience,” Kell says, “and believe diplomacy and humor can go a long way in fostering long-term banking relationships.”

He is a graduate of Marist School, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a master’s degree from the University of Georgia. From 2009-2011 he was President of Emory’s Board of Visitors and serves as Treasurer of the 300 Club of Atlanta, which provides financial support to the families of police officers and firefighters who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.

Kell and his wife Jane are active parishioners at All Saints’ Episcopal Church. They also are active Francophiles and enjoy traveling to French-speaking countries. In keeping, Kell takes classes at Alliance Francaise. He and Jane collect “way too much” folk art, and also enjoy hiking in Maine, cooking and entertaining.
